Group lessons are designed to help you, the owner, learn how to teach your dog obedience in a variety of distracting settings. Group lessons start with basic obedience and move through expert obedience. You will attend at least one class every other week and diligently work on learned training techniques between classes, as each lesson builds upon the previous week’s instruction.
Private lessons are for dogs and owners that may not be ready for a group setting. We begin by outlining the goals that you, the owner, have for your dog. We then tailor a series of lessons that are specifically designed to achieve those goals. We typically start with basic obedience and move through expert obedience as needed. It is suggested that you attend at least one class each week for six consecutive weeks.
Day Train is a program that runs Monday through Friday at the 4 Paws Facility where your dog can get hands on training with our staff. This program is great for expediting the learning process or for maintenance once your dog is where you want them to be. Along with the multiple training sessions, your dog will engage in proper socialization with people, other dogs and environmental stressors. We take a limited number of dogs per day, which ensures your dog gets the one-on-one attention he/she deserves. Day Train is a service that is only available to current or past 4 Paws Academy obedience students.
Board & Train
Our Board and Train program is designed to achieve the training goals established by the owner and trainer, effectively giving them a Jumpstart into their training. It includes follow up lessons that demonstrate and teach you what your dog has learned and how to maintain that training at home. Each of these programs are available in a series of weekly formats that are based on the owner’s training goals and the needs of the dog.
4 Paws Academy puts on a wide variety of seminars for our clients and non clients. They range in topics from how to help your dog with his/her aggression issues to strength and conditioning to how to get ready to set you and your new dog up for success before you even get them home.
